A/B testing is a powerful tool for evaluating pricing strategy performance by allocating subsets of products to different strategies and comparing their effectiveness over time. It is ideal for situations where multiple strategies apply, providing a precise method to determine the most effective approach based on accurate performance evaluation.
How does it work?
Under Pricing management dropdown, choose the A/B Test to open access the feature page. Add new A/B Test.
Scheduling
This feature enables you to set specific start and end dates for your tests.
The start date should be either today or a future date, and the end date should be a date after the start date. Once the start date arrives, the test will automatically begin and it's status will change to 'running'.
During the test, you have the option to pause it, which will change the status to 'paused'. In this state, you can choose to either resume or abort the test.
When the end date is reached, the test will automatically conclude and its status will change to 'completed'.
Assignment mode
In random assignment mode, Products will be chosen by the filters you add randomly, and be asigned to each group by the percantage you choose.
In the image below for example ther are 3 sub groups, Sub group 1 will get 50 percent of the product, Sub group 2 will get 20 percent of the products and Sub group 3 will get 30 percent of it.
ALl prodcuts will be chosen according to the FIler, meaning from Pricing channels Electronics Store 1 B&M and Online, and from category Electronics.
In manual assignment mode, users can create and allocate products to multiple sub-groups manually.
After saving, go to the desired sub group and add items.
You can choose items based on different attributes.
Then click Apply & Load. from the results pages, you can add all the items in each page separately or all items at once.
Analytics
In the Analytics view you will be able to trach the progress of the two different groups over time, up to 1 month.
Four graphs will display showing revenue, gross profit, units sold and, conversions.
Cloning
We support cloning a completed test, i.e. a test that has ended automatically on the end date (status: completed) or ended by the user (status: aborted). The cloned test will be in a 'pending' status, so you will need to set its scheduling dates.
You can edit the cloned test, add products and sub groups.
