Test a Custom Function Code

Once you have written your code, you should test it before applying it to your products.

To do so, navigate to the "Test code" section

Load the data of a relevant product for testing by inserting its UID.

The UID can be found in the product URL:

No change will be applied to the product, its attributes will simply be loaded as JSON on the "product payload" section.

Now run the code and check out the result

When you are happy with the results, apply the function on only a few products, and make sure you don't get any errors, and the outcomes are as expected.

There can always be some gaps between the testing and production environments therefore we highly recommend not skipping this step.
