A Promotion in Quicklizard is a means to schedule multiple manual recommendation overrides for a particular period. Each promotion is composed of settings that determine start and end dates, pricing precedence, and a list of promoted items.

What is the Promotions Module?

Promotion Management Page

The Promotion Management Page in Quicklizard serves as a centralized hub where you can efficiently handle your promotions. This page offers various filters, such as status and date ranges, enabling users to locate specific promotions easily. By filtering promotions based on criteria, you can streamline your search process and promptly find the information you need.

Key Features:

1. Activation of Published Promotions:

   • Published promotions with approved products are the only ones that become active.
   • You can activate all promotions simultaneously using the "Publish All" button or activate individual promotions one by one.
   • Keep an eye on promotions with "Pending products" and approve them to ensure their activation.

2. Overlapping Promotions:

   • In cases where multiple promotions overlap, the promotion with the earliest start date takes precedence.
   • The subsequent promotion becomes active only after the completion of the earliest promotion.

3. Managing Promoted Items:

   • Monitor the number of promoted items compared to the maximum allowed limit.
   • Delete outdated promotions to make room for new ones effectively.
   • Change the prices of products directly from the promoted items tab

Single Promotion Page

   • Manage pending and approved items on an individual promotion level.
   • Customize the pricing strategy, allowing you to set promotional prices or offer general discounts.
   • Modify the promoted price for individual products manually if desired.

Product Page

The Product Page provides comprehensive insights into specific products and their associated promotions.

Key Features:

1. Access to Promotion Details:

   • Clicking on a promotion's name redirects you to a read-only view of the promotion page.
   • This allows users without edit permissions to view the promotion's details and understand its configuration.

2. Display of Active Promotions:

   • The product page showcases any active promotions the product is currently part of, if applicable.
   • This information appears at the bottom of the product page, keeping you informed about ongoing promotions associated with the product.
3. Multiple promotions for a product:
   When a product has several promotions and multiple of those promotions are active (meaning the promotion's dates overlap), the product in question will be associated with the promotion with the earliest starting date according to its settings.
4. Edit products prices
   You can now easily edit the prices of promoted products by navigating to the Promoted Items tab, locating the promoted product, updating its price, and pressing "Publish Changes" to save your edits.
   
5. Uploading from file
   Uploading promotion products from a file has been enhanced to allow up to 25,000 products. Existing items in the promotion will be overridden, and any published items not included in the uploaded file will automatically change to "Pending Delete."
